Geralyn Carstenson

Geralyn has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.  She lives in Wamego and in 1998 became an owner of a boarding and grooming business.  Purchasing an existing kennel operation, rebuilding the facilities and in 2005 expanding her business to include daycare.  The grooming service is certified with the national groomers association. Currently her business is working to convert protocols into written SOPs to be prepared for grooming legislation that is coming.   Geralyn has completed AKC Safe Kennel classes and will test for certification through the Professional Animal Care Council in April, 2019.  Geralyn has shown Yorkshire Terriers for 15 years.

She joined animal response in 2016 and deployed for the Manhattan floods in 2018.  Geralyn also services as an emergency foster for several animal organizations in Riley county.
